We build a variety of kayaks including wooden stitch and glue boats, strip built boats and hybrids that combine several different construction methods to take advantage of the strengths of each.

All boats are made of the best materials including certified marine grade mahogany plywoods, western red cedar, northern white cedar, basswood, cherry and ash In a way that lets the true beauty of the wood show through.

For the paddler who knows what they want but may not have the time or location to build it themselves, we are happy to build the boat of your dreams, fully outfitted or bare bones and ready for you to customize. We usually work from pre-existing plans. But, if we can’t find something that suits your needs we will work with you to create your own design.

As well as producing new watercraft, we can also restore your old favourites.  Doing this lets us find hidden treasures that many others would simply give up on and transform them back to their glory days.

We have a rich boating history and we love the chance to bring these old beauties back to their original form.  Most of the time it just takes time and a lot of elbow grease ... but in the end ... the effort definitely pays off!
